THE FORGIVENESS EFFECT - A Journey of Courage, Hope, Healing and Freedom! -- A True StoryLou, a new father and a member of the Colorado Law Enforcement agency as a Training and SWAT Officer decided that returning to New Jersey and being closer to the family would make his life better. Little did he know that finding a job outside of law enforcement would be difficult. Once working in the corporate world, he wanted to be part of a team, share his ideas, grow the company and be successful. Others, however, were happy to introduce him to the world of corporate politics, verbal abuse, and public humiliation. Why, what had he done to deserve that treatment?Just when he thought things couldn't get much worse, everyone's life changed with the devastation of 9/11. On top of that, there was the agony of losing an unborn child and a marriage that was falling apart. His life was in shambles and he just couldn't catch a break. Lou, knew that he needed to do something before everything fell apart. He knew that he needed to get to the bottom of why he was feeling angry, overwhelmed and anxious. He needed to get control of his life for his son. So, he reached out to a couple of friends and mentors who saw Lou's despair. They willingly listened, sharing their wisdom and guidance. Lou Samara is a dynamic, passionate, successful entrepreneur and communicator. He built and sold a service company in the pharmaceutical industry. Prior to that, he served for 12 years as a Training and SWAT Officer at a Colorado Law Enforcement Agency. Lou was the State Director for the Colorado Special Olympics Law Enforcement Torch Run. His belief in community service led him to accept advisory positions for a charter school and top Southeast regional university. His love for people and desire to build relationships inspired him to become a Level 2 Certified Human Behavior Consultant through Personality Insights, Inc. in Atlanta, Georgia. Lou is an accomplished public speaker. He has worked with organizations presenting to audiences of more than 3000 people on topics regarding personal and business development. Lou is happily married to the love of his life, Leslie, and has one terrific son, Louis!
