Adam was in a bit of trouble, in the same way as Atlantis had a bit of rising damp. Oscar the Wise, Wizard extraordinaire and all round nice guy (description supplied by the author of his new autobiography), wanted him dead and his skin put on display. The survival of the human race depended on him and he had lost his shoe.Adam and his companions are forced to flee from school into the underworld of Imbala. To survive a world populated by vampires, goblins, dragons and wizards, Adam needs to keep his wits about him, which is unfortunate because Adam has no idea where he left them.Adam suffers slightly from wayward attention, embarrassing gaps in his knowledge when it comes to girls, a complete lack of confidence, courage, direction and a shoe. Apart from the shoe, this is not as much of a hindrance in Imbala as you might think, although intelligent, carnivorous monsters are hunting him and his friends. His only chance of survival is to solicit help from the locals. He charms a Nosferatu with his culinary skills and enchants a she goblin. Unfortunately, Nosferatu drink the blood of the living and she goblins eat their mates, but, to be fair, at the time he did not have many options. On his travels Adam does manage to show some signs of bravery, success with the opposite sex, focus, leadership-skills and confidence. He creates bonds of friendship and starts to understand himself and his responsibilities. Death, magic and how to make pizza is written from a young man´s perspective as he is forced to deal directly with hardships, emotions and decisions. This book is not a travel guide to the under world of Imbala and the author does not accept any responsibility for the death, mutilation, disfigurement and or transmutation of its readers, whilst visiting Imbala or any other magical realms, real or imaginary. This book is suitable for all ages, beings and teenagers.
