What if you only had one chance at Love?In 2013, in an effort to strengthen families, the government established The Love Laws. Engaging in any type of inappropriate physical contact, including kissing and sexual intercourse, outside of legal marriage or with anyone other than one's legal spouse is forbidden. Because of the Love Laws, in the little town of Atkinson, three high school girls find themselves saying "I do" at seventeen, and after that, things are never the same again. Since divorce has been outlawed as well, the girls are bonded to their husbands forever. Chastity marries the man of her dreams, but others are not so fortunate. The first time Hayden is drunk, she unintentionally marries a man who turns out to be a monster and makes her life absolutely miserable. Amber is forced to marry a man she barely knows due to her parents' fear that their daughter will break the law, but Amber's parents don't realize that she has already broken the law... several times. Unfortunately, marriage isn't the only thing that seems to be occurring more often because of the Love Laws, but death as well. Girls start mysteriously dying at Atkinson High School, and Chastity, Hayden, and Amber are next on the list. To keep their marriages together, stay alive, and graduate high school, these three girls will need a miracle sent from Heaven.
