The Awakening

Brooklyn native Tomorrow Thompson is a typical teenager who is going through adolescence with her four childhood best friends, Shemeka, Melissa, Chante and Kisha. Along this journey the girls share everything, but when a tragic accident kills Tomorrow's parents, her world is turned upside down as she struggles to come to grips with their passing. Reeling from the sudden death of her parents, Tomorrow's childhood friends struggle to keep her on the right path. When Tomorrow is placed in a dangerous situation, she is confronted with the realization that she has inherited special gifts which have been passed down from generation to generation from the women in her family. The knowledge of these special gifts provides little comfort to Tomorrow. Not wanting to be label a freak, Tomorrow decides to ignore her abilities, but when one of her best friend's life is placed in jeopardy, she is forced to acknowledge, as well as, use these gifts to save her friend's life.
